De-Risking Brownfield Site Development
A FREE SEMINAR FOR LAND OWNERS, DEVELOPERS, INVESTORS AND ASSET MANAGERS
The Government's Brownfield land registers provide up-to-date and consistent information on sites that local authorities consider to be appropriate for residential development having regard to the criteria set out in regulation 4 of the Town and Country Planning (Brownfield Land Register) Regulations 2017. Local planning authorities are able to trigger a grant of permission in principle for residential development for sites in their registers where they follow the required procedures. Registers are in two parts, Part 1 comprises all brownfield sites appropriate for residential development and Part 2 those sites granted permission in principle. Registers are published locally as open data and provide transparent information about suitable and available sites.

The BUILDING PARTNERSHIPS seminar, held in partnership with Newgate Communications provided developers and investors with insights into the opportunities that these valuable offer as well as the risks inherent in their profitable development.
These sites are key to the UK's future regeneration. Our cities are forecast to grow significantly over coming years when the demand for living and working space will outstrip current availability. Our seminar offered answers and solutions to the inherent risks associated with sites that over time may have accommodated a wide variety of polluting and sometimes hazardous activities as the city has expanded.
