Background, skills and services
After a career spent in senior management and Director positions within the construction and fit out industry in London and the South East, I formed Building Partnerships to offer marketing and general business development services on a consultancy basis. Since then we have worked with major companies such as Kier and Mott MacDonald and many SME’s across the entire spectrum of service providers, from funders, lawyers and planners, through architects, engineers, contractors and specialists.
Over this time we have gained extensive knowledge of what works and what doesn’t and we utilise this to the benefit of the many companies we have helped grow, thrive and some even survive.

What is it that you actually do?!
The Building Partnerships Group offers SME’s and specialist service teams the opportunity to raise their profile in targeted sectors and locations, cutting out the organisational chores and scattergun approach. This saves time, money and increases the chances of securing new business.
Is that all?!
Events are important as the majority of new business relies on some element of personal relationship, however relationships may be built online and to this end we create and carry out online marketing with posts on LinkedIn and whichever other channels are appropriate and can create new websites and other brand support media.
We also publish Ezines featuring Partner’s services and projects together with opinion pieces to create end to end digital presence.

How?
We work closely with companies and individuals - who we call Partners - to establish their strengths, what works for them and what is profitable and what not. We then agree a campaign that will place them alongside the right people in a way that is time and cost saving and effective.
What sectors are covered?
We currently run Hotel Property UK, focused on the hospitality and short stay sector and ReThinkingBuilding that advocates and promotes sustainable development.
Other groups soon to be launched are Development South East for developers active in the region and The Governors Group, exclusively for senior property owners, Directors and consultants still active in the sector.
By doing what?
Our unique collaborative approach to organising events and introductions. We organise knowledge share workshops, seminars and working lunches that are co-hosted by our Partners when each is able to host their guests, supplemented by those curated by us. Costs and contact data is shared by agreement and referrals often made.
How do we join?
Partners join for a minimum of 12 months and is dependant on there not already being a similar service provider already on board. (Applies to dedicated sector groups only). The concept allows for each service to happily participate with other Partners knowing that their clients are protected and that they will often work together on projects.
